Cookie Policy
This page explains the small number of cookies and similar technologies that Skillyard uses. The short version: we use only what the site needs to work. We do not track you. That's why there is no cookie consent banner to click.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage, let a site keep small amounts of information in your browser. Both are used for a range of purposes, from making a site work to allowing the site owner to understand how the site is being used.
Essential cookies and storage
These are needed for the site to work and are always on. They do not track you for advertising.
For training providers who have a listing on the site, we use cookies to keep them signed in. We also use some cookies to protect our forms against automated abuse through Cloudflare Turnstile. We keep a few things in your browser so they are there when you come back to them, for example your shortlist of saved trainers or your last search in the finder. These stay on your own device and are not sent to us. The finder search is forgotten when you close the tab.
We don't track you
We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. We do not build a profile of you. Because we run no non-essential cookies, there is nothing to accept or reject and no consent banner.
We do measure how busy the site is, but we do it without cookies. It works from the records our server already keeps as it serves pages. It produces number totals and doesn't read or store any personal information. Our privacy policy, under How we count visits, sets out what happens to those records and what is deleted at the end of each day.
Controlling cookies
Because we use no non-essential or tracking cookies, there is nothing to opt out of and we show no cookie controls. The only cookies and storage we use are the essential ones described above. You can still manage or delete all cookies and site storage through your browser settings, though removing the essential ones may sign you out or stop parts of the site working. Your browser's help pages will explain how to delete anything you need to.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. Where changes are significant, we will make that clear on the site.
